Cheshire Artisan Ham is a collaboration between two old friends from Wayne County, a farmer’s daughter, and a third-generation ham maker. Cheshire Pork is a special product, we know that forty years of selective breeding has resulted in beautifully marbled pork, and we had a feeling that it would make a great cured and aged ham. That idea appealed to the folks at WayCo Hams in Goldsboro, they have decades of ham making experience, and knew that they could make magic with this pork. The results are what happens when the best pork raised in the state meets time-honored, traditional curing and gaining techniques. The ham is a perfect balance of flavor and texture, not too salty, with a buttery smoothness that makes it very easy to eat. We invite you to taste the difference.
